Change of Dates

Mom’s appointment date for going to Mayo Clinic has changed to May 11 & 12. This will give her more time to heal from her first surgery.

Although her nausea is a little better, Mom has been extremely tired for the last several days. Because her hemoglobin was low she received two units of blood at the hospital here in Storm Lake today. The blood really put a spring in her step and color in her cheeks! She even felt good enough to "supervise" Keith Schmidt as he graciously trimmed the trees in our yard. What a huge help!

Mom had a relaxing weekend kicking back with Kim, Ben and Anne. Jon, Carrie, Kieran, and Molly are all home to fill up the house now that the weekend is over.

Please continue to lift Mom up in your prayers. She is really hoping that the surgeons will be able to proceed with their plans to reconstruct her bile duct. She needs the swelling from her first surgery to be down for this to happen.

We want to say another thanks for all of the meals and snacks that were brought to our house over the last several weeks. It’s saved us so much time and trouble. Everything has been delicious!

I believe I spied a few impatiens in the gardener Anita picture? Ah, such beauty every growing season: mounds and mounds of potted impatiens on the Daniels front porch. Thanks for the inspiration, Anita. I spent hours in my garden today and it always does my spirit good. I wish the same for you, dear friend. Love you, Dee
PS - Thanks family for the blog site! I check often.
