Mom is having a quiet weekend, which she needs. She still has constant nausea and is taking two different medications for this. Mom's earlier bout with pneumonia seems to be completely healed. After two rainy days she's hoping to be able to sit in the sunshine soon if the weather cooperates.

Mom has really enjoyed hearing from some of her UNI High high school friends. Thanks so much for sending your notes of encouragement. We got out some old high school pictures last night and had a good laugh. We are all thankful that hair and glasses styles have changed since the 60's!

The flowers that we have been getting are truly amazing. Thanks to all who have sent them. Mom has also loved all of the cards that have been sent. We read them to her in the evenings when she feels up to it.

Today is the first time that Mom has been able to hold Kieran (her granddaughter) since her surgery on March 28th. They both enjoyed the quiet moment together.
