More from Memory Lane...
-As we reported earlier, Mom went into the office to get some blood work done reguarding a leaky tube. We don't have all the results back as of yet, but we found out that her white blood count has gone down, which is good, and she is now taking some new antibiotics to help fight whatever infection may have been there. Thank you for your prayers regaurding this situatuion.
- Some of the latests pictures have been of Mom when she was younger and they sparked some very good conversation among the family. We decided we would get her to talk about each one of us kids when we were younger and last night we video taped her telling stories. The night was dedicated to telling stories about Carrie. There were many good laughs had at Carrie's expense.
This photo is of Carrie as a four month old with Mom and Dad in St. Paul, MN.
- We are looking forward to having Ben and Anne home this weekend, as they have not been able to be here for about two weeks. Ben is in his third year of medical school at Iowa and has a very rigorous schedule. Mom has been thinking up some good memories to tell about Ben when he gets here.
- Please continue to pray that Mom will be able to sleep through the night, as it has been an issue she has been battleing since we got home. Every day brings new trials, please pray for Mom in these next two weeks before returning to Mayo for her check-up. Thanks again for your prayers!!!
Love, Molly

Anita -- you've been in my family's thoughts and prayers every day! When I saw that you were going to do some "Ben" stories this weekend, I just wanted to add a couple from our house:
1. The first to come to mind is the video of Scott's birthday party where Ben, Scott, Adam and Nate are playing basketball in the basement. (I think you have a copy of the video, but would be glad to loan ours out for Anne to see!) The whole game is a riot to watch, but does Ben remember biting Scott to get the ball back :)
2. I also remembered the Saturday morning (winter) that Scott called to see if Ben could come over to play and he went to "ask his mom if it was OK." Scott sat on the phone for a very long time waiting for the answer ... the doorbell rang and there was Ben (without coat, boots and hat)! He got his answer, got dressed and came over without ever going back to the phone!
(Please tell Ben that I've been kind ... I could have gone on for a very long time!)
Let us know if there is anything that we can do. We're all hoping that things start to improve soon, and the surgery is not only possible, but a success!
Carolyn
PS Molly, I'll be watching for your night too!
A message for Carrie (and everyone else too).........
This is my first time checking out a "blog"! I feel so up-to-date now technologically. :)
And i have to say, this is AMAZING. The pictures, the updates, etc. Wow. What a wonderful way for people to leave notes of support, love, and encouragement for your mom. And this one's for YOU!
All of your old (figuratively and literally!) high school friends are thinking of you and your family, and keeping you all in our prayers. We love you bunches!!
Good morning Anita!!
This is so wonderful to keep posted on your progess!! Prayer is a powerful tool and we are continuing to pray for the healing, recovery, comfort, and sleep you need!! The pictures are a delight BUT the stories about your kids will definitely be a "hoot" with laughter!! Your family is so special not only to you but to all of us.
Ben:-Remember the time he dumped the minnow bucket down the drain WITH THE MINNOWS and the result was a clogged drain!
-Ben using the LR walls for practicing his pitching with baseballs.
Cannot wait for "Molly's" turn!!
Carrie: When you took Molly shortly after she was born to Omaha I took over some chocolate pudding to Carrie, Kim, and Ben. A short time later after I got home, Carrie came over with an empty bowl and said "It was really good".....I said I can make some more...and she told me ALOT MORE!!
Kim....um.....she was the quiet one (?)....??????
What a special night! I am excited for the story night for Molly... although I know that each one is special for you guys... I wish I could be there to hear the stories from Molly. Anita... I'm praying for you. Dustin and I call each other each and every night faithfully to pray together for you as well. And we're reading a book by Beth Moore about prayer... I was reading in James the other day and a verse stuck out at me for you guys: James 5: 13-15 "Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up..."
I love you guys! And can't wait to see you SO soon!

To the Daniels family-
Through being roommates with Carrie at Bethel and being in her wedding, I have had a chance to get to know your family a little- and what a family it is. Not only were those years of my life incredibly blessed because of Carrie's friendship, but also because of the example you provided of a family that truely loves each other. Thank you for the laughs and memories, Carrie and Kim. (and I do have the memories..nun's habits, Graceland, and grilly bam...)
I will be praying for all of you. Thank you for being a good example for me and, Carrie, for your friendship which crosses years and continents.
