Birthday Scrapbook and Mayo Visit
Thank you to all who gave mom birthday messages. We gave her the scrapbook yesterday and she really liked it. (A big thanks to Joy Bradley for putting it all together and making it beautiful!). The scrapbook is a work in progress and if you still have a message to send we will add it to the book. So many of you wrote such brilliant things about Mom. It meant a lot to the rest of us to be able to read what was written.
Mom is getting ready to go to Mayo for two days of testing this week. Mom and Dad will leave for Rochester on Wednesday night and will come back on Friday night. The culmination of the visit will be meeting with the surgeons after the tests are done to discuss whether mom is fit for surgery to recreate her bile duct.
Many of you have been asking about her testing schedule:
Thursday, May 11
7:30 am Chest x-ray
8:10 am Blood tests
8:40 am Body CT
10:00 am Electrocardiogram
Friday, May 12
8:30 am Radiographic Liver Study
3:30 pm Surgical Consult (Dept. of Gen. Surgery and Gastro. / Hep. Dept.)
Thank you so much for your prayers!

Dear Anita, Molly and family,
Just a note from me (Crista's mom) to tell you how often we think about you and pray for you. Moll, I know Crista misses you terribly in Antigua. She has some really cool pictures of your "boyfriends".
Our thoughts and prayers will be with you again this week as you go back to the Mayo. Note to Tim: do docs in Iowa refer to it tongue in cheek as the WFMC (World Famous Mayo Clinic) as we do here?
All our prayers,
Crista's family
Jan, Skip, Jenna and Brett Johnson
Hi Anita,
Harlan and I have really appreciated this web site.
It has been so nice to be able to see the pictures and keep up with your progress. We send our love and hugs as we pray for your visit to the Mayo this week. Hope this is a good day for you.
Our love to all,
Sharon and Harlan
Hi Anita!!
We are praying that your trip to Mayo will go well for you and that the ride won't be too tiring. We will pray that all will go well throughout the two days of testing and that good (or GREAT) results will follow! Praying for Tim, too, and your whole family!
Love to you all,
Kent and Laura
